DescriptionThe whole story▼
Constructed from aerospace-grade Ti1 titanium and finished with a natural brushed surface, the Vandemon half-system exhaust for the Ducati Panigale V4/S/R transforms the character of the V4 engine from the ground up. By eliminating the heavy steel catalytic converter and replacing the mid-section and cans with pure Ti1 titanium, this system delivers measurable gains in power, handling precision and on-track agility in a package that tips the scales at just 4.9 kg with DB-killers fitted.
Key Features
- Ti1 titanium construction throughout — high-temperature resistant, corrosion-proof and exceptionally light at 4.9 kg with DB-killers (4.7 kg without)
- Dyno-verified +7% power increase over the stock exhaust, optimised for race use
- Two titanium cans with carbon fibre end caps for structural rigidity and a purposeful race aesthetic
- Adjustable sound level: 102 dB with DB-killers, 107 dB without, measured at 5,500 rpm — road-legal flexibility meets track-day intensity
- Removable silencing inserts in each can allow rapid sound and performance tuning between road and circuit
- Natural brushed Ti1 finish improves heat dissipation while giving the exhaust a distinctly premium, uncoated titanium look
- Two tail-can mounting bracket options included, accommodating both Panigale V4 and Streetfighter chassis configurations
Build Quality and Materials
Vandemon's choice of Ti1 titanium — the commercially pure, highest-grade titanium alloy used in aerospace and premium motorsport applications — defines what sets this half-system apart from stainless or mild-titanium alternatives. Ti1 offers an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio, resists heat-induced discolouration far longer than lesser alloys, and maintains structural integrity under the sustained thermal load generated by the Panigale V4's Desmosedici Stradale engine. The naturally brushed surface treatment is not merely cosmetic: it increases the effective surface area slightly, aiding heat transfer away from the can bodies and rider bodywork.
Each can is capped with a woven carbon fibre cover. Carbon's low thermal conductivity protects the trailing edge of the unit while contributing to the overall stiffness of the assembly, reducing resonance at high rpm. Every weld and join in the Vandemon system is executed to race-build standards — the result of production techniques refined on World Superbike-class machinery.
Performance and Sound
Removing the OEM catalytic converter and fitting the Vandemon system cuts a substantial amount of mass from the centre of the motorcycle — exactly where weight reduction has the greatest effect on pitch and yaw dynamics. The lighter rotating and reciprocating exhaust mass, combined with the optimised gas-flow path of the Ti1 header connection, is responsible for the verified 7% power uplift across the rev range. Less back-pressure means the V4 engine breathes more freely at the top of the rev counter, delivering sharper throttle response and a more linear power delivery through the mid-range.
The removable DB-killer inserts give the rider genuine flexibility. At 102 dB with both inserts in place the system complies with many track-day noise limits; remove them and the figure rises to 107 dB at 5,500 rpm, producing the full, unmuted titanium note that characterises a properly developed racing exhaust. Swapping between configurations takes minutes with no specialist tools.
Fitment and Compatibility
This half-system is engineered specifically for the following Ducati models:
- Ducati Panigale V4 — 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021
- Ducati Panigale V4 S — 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021
- Ducati Panigale V4 R — 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021
- Ducati Streetfighter V4 — bracket options included to suit the Streetfighter chassis
Two different tail-can mounting bracket options are supplied with the system to cover the varying subframe geometries across the V4 family. No modification to the OEM chassis is required.
