The replacement Pinlock® 120XLT MaxVision™ anti-fog insert for the LS2 FF807 Dragon and FF817 Challenger II. Your Dragon came with one in the box — this is the one to buy when the original has reached the end of its life.
What 120XLT Means
Pinlock grades its inserts by anti-fog performance, and 120 is the highest. The moisture-absorbing inner layer holds condensation instead of letting it form droplets on the visor, and it keeps doing so in the conditions that defeat lesser inserts: cold mornings, heavy rain, stop-start traffic where there is no airflow to help. MaxVision refers to the shape — the insert covers the visor's full eye port rather than leaving a clear-but-fogging border, so your peripheral vision stays fog-free too.
When to Replace
A Pinlock insert is a wear part. Its silicone seal loses grip over time and the absorbent layer eventually saturates — you notice it as fogging that used to clear and no longer does, or a visible haze that will not wipe off. Two to three seasons of regular riding is typical. Replacing it is far cheaper than replacing the visor you scratched trying to clean the old one.
Fitting
Remove the visor from the helmet, flex it gently outwards, seat the insert's pins into the eccentric pin holes and release. The visor's own tension holds it in place. Fit it in a warm, dry room: trapping cold humid air between insert and visor is the single most common cause of "my new Pinlock fogs on the inside".
Care
Clean the insert with lukewarm water and a soft cloth only — never a dry cloth and never any cleaning agent. The anti-fog layer is porous by design, and detergents destroy it permanently.
