DescriptionThe whole story▼

Many Kawasaki ER-6N bikes change hands several times, and a new owner often starts by refreshing the brakes. For the right front caliper of the ER-6N, Accossato offers AGPA94 in its Organic mixture. It fits bikes from 2006 to 2016 and is aimed at owners who ride a second-hand ER-6N for everyday use and want a gentle, quiet brake that will not wear the existing discs quickly.

Key Features

  • Front right pads AGPA94 for the Kawasaki ER-6N, 2006 to 2016
  • Organic mixture, SKU AGPA94OR
  • Long performance and limited disc wear, per Accossato
  • Smooth response for daily use
  • Low noise level
  • Left caliper takes AGPA95
  • Plate also available as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, the Organic mixture gives long-lasting performance while limiting disc wear. For an ER-6N that has already seen a few owners, preserving the discs is sensible, since they may already have some wear. The company also states that its pads resist fading by keeping heat moderate, and that they stop firmly. The block is bonded to the AGPA94 plate for the right caliper.

Refreshing a Used ER-6N

When buying a used ER-6N, the brakes are among the first things to check. Look at the pad thickness on both front calipers and the rear, measure the discs against the minimum marked on them and check the colour of the fluid. Sticky pistons show up as uneven pad wear or a brake that drags slightly when the bike is pushed.

Refreshing the brakes typically means new pads, a fluid change and a thorough caliper clean. An organic set suits a bike that will be used for commuting and leisure, as it beds in easily, stays quiet and goes easy on the discs.

A used ER-6N often comes with an unknown service history. Treat the brakes as the priority job in the first week of ownership, and keep the receipts for the parts fitted, since a documented brake service also helps when the bike is sold on again.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA94 for the front right caliper of the Kawasaki ER-6N 650, 2006 to 2016. The left caliper needs AGPA95, and the rear AGPP102. One box covers one caliper, so a full front refresh means a box of AGPA94 and a box of AGPA95.

Road Approval

No ABE or German test documentation for AGPA94OR is in our possession. The pads are sold for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
