DescriptionThe whole story▼
Classic bikes are raced, and some riders build a Triumph Bonneville T100 for exactly that purpose. For the front brake of those machines, from the 2001 800 twin to the 2021 900, Accossato offers the AGPA72 pad in its EV2 racing compound. This is not a pad for commuting. It is meant for a race weekend, for qualifying and for hard stops at the end of a straight, where the brake is used repeatedly and gets hot.
Key Features
- AGPA72 front pads for Triumph Bonneville T100 bikes, 2001 to 2021
- EV2 racing compound, product code AGPA72EV2
- Accossato: a top racing mixture
- Designed for timed sessions and race weekends
- Strong, direct response for late braking points
- Needs heat to work as intended
- Same plate also offered as OR, ST and EV1
- No approval papers on file, strictly for competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls EV2 one of its top racing compounds. It is designed for the heat and load of a race, not for a cold commute. When the pad is up to temperature it gives a strong, direct bite and resists fade under repeated heavy stops. Like any racing compound, it asks for proper warm-up laps before it delivers its full effect, so treat the first corner of each session with care.
On a Race Weekend
A classic-racing T100 is often prepared by its owner in a garage and taken to a handful of meetings a season. On a race weekend the front brake gets little rest: practice, qualifying and two or three races, each with heavy stops into slow corners. An EV2 pad is made for that pattern of use. It keeps a consistent lever through a session and lets you choose a braking point and repeat it lap after lap. Between sessions, check pad thickness and look for glazing, and keep a spare set in the van.
In the Paddock
Clean the caliper and pistons before fitting, top up with fresh fluid and pump the lever until it is firm. Bed the pads in on the first outing with several progressively harder stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato confirms AGPA72 for the front of the Bonneville T100 from 2001 to 2021, covering the 800 T100 of 2001 to 2004, the 800 T100 Paul Smith of 2006 to 2008 and the 900 T100 of 2005 to 2021. AGPA76 is the matching rear pad. One box covers one caliper, so check how many are fitted at the front of your machine.
Road Approval
No ABE or German test certificate exists for AGPA72EV2 in our records. The product is intended for racing and competition.
