DescriptionThe whole story▼

Big adventure bikes are often ridden faster on twisty tarmac than their size suggests, and the Yamaha XT1200Z SUPER TENERE of 2010 to 2019 is no exception. For owners who enjoy brisk riding on mountain roads, or who take the bike to a circuit day with a friendly club, Accossato offers the front pad AGPA97 in EV1 street/track, SKU AGPA97EV1. It gives more bite than a touring pad while remaining usable for normal riding on the way to the fun part.

Key Features

  • EV1 street/track compound, SKU AGPA97EV1
  • Yamaha XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, 2010 to 2019
  • Accossato: excellent grip on the road and for amateur track use
  • For brisk riding on twisty tarmac
  • Handles an occasional circuit day
  • Two pads per box for one caliper
  • Rear pad AGPP121 listed

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, EV1 street/track offers excellent grip on the road and during amateur track sessions. On a heavy, tall bike such as the XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, that stronger initial bite can make a real difference into tight bends. Accossato was founded in 1969 in Moncalieri, near Turin, and we keep to its description of the compound.

Sporting Rides on a Big Adventure Bike

A tall adventure bike on a winding road demands a front brake that bites clearly and stays consistent, because the weight transfer under braking is considerable. EV1 is made for that kind of riding: early morning runs through the mountains, a fast group ride with friends, or a circuit day with an adventure bike club. It is not a dedicated race compound, so it still works on the ride home. Riders who carry a pillion and luggage in rain will find ST more relaxed.

Fitment and Compatibility

This pad is catalogued by Accossato for the front of the Yamaha XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, 2010 to 2019, including the XTZ 1200 SUPER TENERE designation. With two front calipers, the XT1200Z SUPER TENERE needs two boxes. Accossato's AGPP121 covers the rear for the same years. Check fluid age and level before a track day, inspect the discs for grooves or a lip, and bed the pads in with progressively harder stops.

Road Approval

These pads have no ABE or approval document in our records and are offered for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
