DescriptionThe whole story▼

Strip the luggage off an MT 450 and a different bike appears: light, narrow, happy to be flicked from one hairpin into the next on a road nobody tours. Riders who use the CFMOTO that way spend their fuel on corner entries, and the front brake ends up doing work an adventure machine is not usually asked for. Accossato's answer for the 2024 to 2026 MT 450 is AGPA96EV1, the familiar AGPA96 outline in the EV1 street/track compound, which the company puts forward for keen road use and for circuit days ridden by amateurs.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the CFMOTO MT 450, 2024 to 2026
  • Article AGPA96EV1: the AGPA96 outline in the EV1 street/track compound
  • Accossato positions this material for committed road riding and amateur track days
  • A pair of pads in the box, enough for one caliper
  • Establish how many calipers sit on your front wheel before you order
  • Offered on the same plate as OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC
  • AGPP91 covers the rear wheel of the MT 450 across the same years
  • No German ABE documented; sold for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato places this material above its road compounds without sending it all the way to the grid. The description given for it is grip that stands up to street use and to amateur sessions on a circuit, which in practice means a friction layer tolerating several minutes of hard work at a time and still behaving once it has cooled at the next set of lights. On a machine as light as the MT 450 that combination is easier to reach than on a heavy tourer, because there is less mass to turn into heat at every corner entry.

A Road Nobody Tours

The road that suits an MT 450 in this mood is usually a minor one: a chain of second-gear corners climbing out of a valley, a surface changing every few hundred metres, nothing coming the other way for long stretches. What the rider asks of the front brake there is not one enormous stop but twenty firm ones in ten minutes, each ending at a precise point before a blind entry. Material that fades as the sequence goes on forces a margin, and the margin grows with every corner until the ride slows down of its own accord.

Coming back down the same valley is where the assembly finally gets warm, and where new pads should have had their settling-in period long beforehand. Fit them, work the lever until pressure returns, then find a quiet stretch and make a series of firm stops from moderate speed, easing off rather than halting while the material is still bedding. After that, an occasional look through the caliper mouth tells you how much is left, and the disc surface tells you whether anything has begun to glaze.

Fitment and Compatibility

This pad is listed for the MT 450 from 2024 through 2026. Nothing older is covered, and the fitment deserves a check rather than a guess if your CFMOTO comes from another model line. One caliper takes one box, so the number to order follows from the front wheel itself. Both pads in a caliper are renewed together, and where the axle carries a caliper on each side, both calipers are done in the same session. At the back of the MT 450 Accossato lists the AGPP91 for the same seasons, while no Accossato disc exists for this bike.

Road Approval

Test documents for the AGPA96EV1 are not in our hands, nor is a German ABE, so the pads are listed among the competition parts.

Scope of Delivery

One box, two AGPA96 pads in the EV1 street/track compound, forming one caliper's set.
