DescriptionThe whole story▼
Crash protection on a sports bike is usually a collection of small parts: frame sliders, axle bobbins, bar-end weights, perhaps a guard in front of the lever. Each one covers a different point of contact when a GSX-R750 goes down. The Accossato LV022 adds one more piece to that picture. It is a folding brake lever with integrated adjuster for the original radial master cylinder of the GSX-R750, listed from 2004 to 2017, with a black base and a coloured blade that can fold at its joint.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the LV022 as a folding brake lever with integrated adjuster. Beyond that wording we have no details about the adjuster, and we do not invent any. The construction follows Accossato's folding levers: a black base on the master cylinder pivot and a blade in the colour you pick, joined so that the blade can fold. Both parts are CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised. The blade is made in the standard length and can be ordered with the RST lightening opening or as a solid NRST blade.
Sliders, Bar Ends and a Hinge
When a bike falls, it lands on whatever sticks out furthest: the end of the handlebar, the lever tip, a footpeg, the widest point of the fairing. Sliders and bar-end weights are there to take the first contact and keep the bike's weight off more fragile parts. Whether they succeed depends on the surface, the speed and the angle, and none of them can promise anything. The brake lever sits close to the bar end, so in many falls both touch the ground within a fraction of a second. A folding blade complements that arrangement. If the lever is struck, it can fold out of the way rather than break, which reduces the chance of losing the front brake lever along with a bit of paint. On a GSX-R750 used on track, that combination can decide whether the bike comes back out for the next session. After any fall, check the protection as a whole, sliders and bar ends included, and replace whatever has taken a hard hit before you trust it again.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the LV022 for the GSX-R750 from 2004 to 2017 and specifies the original radial master cylinder. The other folding brake lever for this bike is the LV020, listed for the same years. If your GSX-R750 already wears crash protection, check after fitting that the blade can still move freely next to the bar end and any lever guard.
Road Approval
No German ABE is known to us for the LV022, so it is offered for track riding.
