DescriptionThe whole story

The V7 III SPECIAL is fast in a way its bodywork does not advertise. Here the shape is the B002, drawn for the Brembo caliper and measuring 75.5 by 55.0 mm. EXR is new for 2026 and succeeds EXC Endurance rather than sitting beside it in the B002.

Key Features

  • Progressive rather than digital: on the Moto Guzzi V7 III SPECIAL the first millimetre of lever travel produces the first millimetre of deceleration
  • Wear stays even across the 75.5 mm of friction face rather than concentrating at the leading edge
  • Sized for the braking energy a 744 cc machine generates, not scaled down from a larger reference
  • No proprietary tooling needed: the B002 drops into the Brembo caliper the V7 III SPECIAL already has
  • Shipped in ZCOO's own packaging with the ZRM-B002C code printed on it, so a repeat order needs no guesswork
  • Two pads per pack, matched as a set for one Brembo caliper

Construction and Material Quality

The B002 is made by Okada Corporation in Japan. The friction layer of the B002 is bonded by a joining process Okada Corporation developed against the failure that ends most sintered pads. That is why the B002 holds a consistent contact patch deep into its service life.

Performance and Feel

Durability is the quiet part of the EXR argument. Better cold performance was the other half of the change, and on a V7 III SPECIAL used on the road that matters more than the extra force. For a V7 III SPECIAL owner that is the difference between an upgrade and a running cost.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the Moto Guzzi V7 III SPECIAL, 2017 to 2019, on the Brembo fitment. The same B002 shape covers 75 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 75.5 mm length and 55.0 mm height. Front axle exclusively - there is no rear B002.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
