DescriptionThe whole story

The argument on an STREET SCRAMBLER is not lap time. The pad is the N007, cut at 101.5 by 39.0 mm to sit square in the Nissin caliper of the STREET SCRAMBLER. In EX Race form it is the compound an STREET SCRAMBLER rider can use from the first cold stop of the day.

Key Features

  • Consistent across the whole 2-year listing for the STREET SCRAMBLER, so a used bike takes the same reference as a new one
  • The friction material and the N007 plate are made in the same Japanese plant
  • Machined, not moulded: the N007 plate is cut to the Nissin outline rather than pressed to an approximate one
  • Suitable for trackday use on the STREET SCRAMBLER without a change of pad before the session
  • The N007 is made by Okada Corporation in Japan, the manufacturer behind ZCOO's endurance-racing programme
  • EX Race is the softer of ZCOO's two ceramic mixtures, chosen for feel on a machine like the STREET SCRAMBLER rather than outright initial aggression

Construction and Material Quality

Manufacture is Japanese and unchanged across the range, the N007 included. The Nissin fitment sets the outline; everything behind the friction face of the N007 is ZCOO's own. Everything about the N007 plate is there to stop the friction face going out of true.

Performance and Feel

Consistency is the entire argument for the N007 in EX Race form. Across 2 model years of the STREET SCRAMBLER the behaviour is the same, because the compound is. And it does that without the rotor wear that normally comes with a sintered compound - which matters when the discs on an STREET SCRAMBLER are part of how it looks.

Fitment and Compatibility

The 2026 listing puts the N007 on the Triumph STREET SCRAMBLER for the 2017 to 2018 model years. The same N007 shape covers 70 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 101.5 mm length and 39.0 mm height. Front axle exclusively - there is no rear N007.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
