DescriptionThe whole story▼
The longest single piece of pipe in Spark's World Supersport system for the Panigale V2, and the most expensive of the four spare sections: 352 euro of titanium running from the horizontal cylinder to the collector. Evo 2023 revision.
Key Features
- Titanium primary pipe, front cylinder, Ducati Panigale V2 955 and 959.
- Evo 2023 revision of the GDU8836 Rectangular WSSP system.
- Sold on its own as a replacement section.
- Front cylinder only - the rear takes a different pipe.
- Racing part, no homologation.
The Long Way Round
The front cylinder on an L-twin points forward, and its exhaust has to get from there to a collector that sits behind and below the engine. That is a longer, more bent path than the rear cylinder's, and it is why this section is a separate fabrication rather than a mirror of the other one. Length and bend radius are both fixed by what the system was tuned around.
Titanium Low on the Bike
Spark builds this section in titanium while the port piece in front of it is stainless. Down here the pipe is long, unsupported over most of its run and unclamped except at its ends, so the weight it carries is weight the frame has to hold at the lowest point of the motorcycle. That is where taking grams out is actually worth something, and where the material choice earns its price.
Which System It Belongs To
This is an 8836 part. It belongs to the Rectangular World Supersport system, in the revision Spark marks Evo 2023, and it is not the pipe for the Grid-O or Moto GP builds - those are numbered from 8832. The systems share a layout and a look; they do not share this section.
The Evo 2023 marking matters as much as the system number. If the kit on the bike predates the revision, ask before ordering rather than after.
Fitment & Compatibility
For the GDU8836 Rectangular WSSP system, Evo 2023, on the Ducati Panigale V2 955, 2020 to 2024, and the Panigale 959, 2016 to 2019. The port piece for the same cylinder is SGDU8836*04. For the GDU8832 system the rear-cylinder equivalents are SGDU8832*04 and SGDU8832*06. Send us the system number if you are not certain which build is fitted.
Road Approval
None. Spare part for a racing system, closed-course use.
