They show up at night, when oncoming headlights turn every mark into a streak across your view, and that is usually the moment an OXO rider starts looking for a new one. This is Shark's clear replacement visor for the large shell: SKU VZ39016PINCTU, part number VZ39016P.

About this tint
Clear is the baseline visor of the OXO family and the one without a limit on when you may ride with it. It suits night riding, rain and flat grey light, and it is the visor that goes back on after a day with a tinted or mirrored one. At 149 g it is also lighter than the tinted visors of the family, which Shark lists at 186 g.
Road or track
Shark's Range Book 2027, page 38, states that the clear OXO visor is approved for all users, and the supplier price list names it as the homologated version. Of the visors Shark makes for the OXO, it is the one without a time-of-day restriction.
For bright days Shark offers the light tinted TE50 under the same part number, VZ39016P, approved for daytime use. Track riders who fit an Iridium mirror from VZ39031P or the dark smoked VZ39011P, both racing use only, will want this clear visor for the road back.
Fitting
The OXO visor fastens with a central lock and releases without tools, as Shark describes it. If your old visor carried a Pinlock lens, it can move to the new one as long as it is the OXO lens, VZ39005P; the housing sits in the visor and its tension is adjustable.
Care
The anti-scratch treatment helps, but a clear visor that is wiped dry over grit will still collect fine marks, and those are what flare up in headlights. Rinse before wiping, let insects soak under a wet cloth, dry with a clean microfibre cloth and keep household glass cleaner and solvents away from it.
Which shell do I have
VZ39016P fits the large OXO shell. The small shell takes VZ39015P, where the clear version is SKU VZ39015PINCTU. Same tint, different size, and Shark builds one visor size per shell, so they cannot be swapped.
Riders who wear one of the larger OXO sizes and replace the visor after years of touring are the typical buyers here. Since we do not have Shark's allocation of sizes to shells, the number on the old visor is the reliable check.
