Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 25218-02

What It Is

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably. Substituting a spacer changes the internal geometry, not just the fit. Spacers are machined rather than cut, so the ends are square and the load is even.

Original Öhlins Part

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Identifying the Right Part

25218-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins gives each length its own number because the assembly depends on it. Sealing washers are consumables — they take their shape on first assembly and do not seal twice.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 25218-02

Category: Spacers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/25218-02_4bc7f622-1e3a-4ad9-9daa-4474fbf4e759.png?v=1788878455
