Guide bushings set the internal alignment of a cartridge. Bushings carry the side load in a damper or fork and keep the moving parts concentric. Play at a bushing lets the shaft run off centre and the seal wears unevenly.

Why the Original

Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00123-07 in this case. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. A worn bushing lets the shaft move off centre, and the seal is the next thing to fail. Bushings take the side load so the seal only has to seal.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00123-07

Category: Guides

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00123-07_d2bd6e8c-0a82-4cee-af31-4d78afe2d052.png?v=1788868638
