A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart; if it fails the damping goes with it. Reservoir caps carry the gas valve and are torqued to a specification. Öhlins pressure-tests its hoses because a reservoir line carries the full gas charge.

Why the Original

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 00636-29 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Check dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 550 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Reservoir caps carry the gas valve and are torqued to a specification. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be substituted freely.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00636-29

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 550 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00636-29_82253342-f5db-4b4f-b5e7-042595e4e6f9.png?v=1788872537
