Öhlins does not sell service parts as pattern equivalents — there is one specification.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 02284-17

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins supports its units with individual parts rather than only with complete assemblies. Service parts make the difference between a damper that is rebuilt and one that is replaced. This part comes from the same production line as the components it is fitted to.

Genuine Service Part

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 02284-17 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Individual parts let a workshop replace only what is worn. The number on the part matches the number in the drawing, which makes identification unambiguous.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02284-17

Category: Service Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02284-17_aaa03478-99d7-4400-91e9-86a2c1c59ad3.png?v=1788871740
