DescriptionThe whole story▼

The JP ACCGP AP009 fits the Aprilia RSV4 RF without permanently altering the stock throttle housing, bringing the GP Series' sixty-degree stroke and progressive, three-stage spring to a model whose factory grip offers neither, while leaving the original part available to refit at any later date.

Key Features

  • Aprilia RSV4 RF (2017–2018)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

A Limited-Run Model Worth Keeping Original

The RSV4 RF occupied a higher trim level within its model years, built in smaller numbers than the base RSV4, which makes many owners of this version more inclined to preserve the option of returning the bike to its exact factory specification.

What Stays Untouched

Every mounting point, fastener, and housing surface on the factory throttle assembly remains as it was; the swap replaces the mechanical cam and spring internally rather than cutting into or permanently discarding the surrounding housing.

Reinstalling the Factory Part

Should an owner want the original grip back, whether to sell the bike as delivered or simply to compare the two feels directly, the process is the fitting steps performed in reverse, using the same points the aftermarket part used.

A V4 That Rewards the Change Either Way

Whichever throttle is fitted, the RF's V4 engine delivers power steeply above mid-range revs, which is why many owners try the shorter, progressive-spring throttle specifically to see whether it changes how confidently they can use that upper range.

Sixty Degrees, Three Stages, No Compromise on Return

The rotation reduction and the three external preload stages are both features of the replacement cam and spring assembly, neither of which requires any irreversible change to the bike to deliver.

A Reset Either Way

Whether fitting the GP Series throttle or returning to the factory part, a diagnostic reset of the throttle position is the standard step that follows either change, keeping the procedure identical in both directions.
