DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 030 takes the K1600 GT's activated carbon filter out and closes the circuit properly behind it.
Key Features
- BMW K1600 GT (2011–2026)
- Removes the activated carbon filter and its lines
- Vents the tank through a correct fitting
- Closes the purge valve circuit
- Clears the space the assembly occupied
- Standard parts refit at any time
An Inline Six
Sixteen hundred and forty-nine cubic centimetres, narrower than most fours and smoother than anything else on two wheels. BMW built it because nobody else would.
A Hundred and Sixty Horsepower
Delivered with almost no vibration at any engine speed. The K1600 makes distance disappear in a way that has to be experienced rather than described.
Everything on the Vapour Side
Tank line, canister, purge line and the valve at the end of it. The kit accounts for all four.
Twenty-Six Litres
A very large tank produces a very large amount of vapour, and the canister is not sized in proportion. Saturation arrives sooner on these bikes than on smaller ones.
Filled Completely, Always
Riders covering six hundred kilometres in a day fill to the brim at every stop, which is exactly what pushes liquid fuel into the carbon bed.
A Detail Worth Getting Right
Most of the complaints about canister removal come from breathers done badly rather than from the removal itself. The fitting in this kit is the reason to buy it as a kit.
Measured at Every Start
Coil continuity on the purge valve is part of the routine self-test. It has no way of telling deletion from a broken wire.
A Crowded Machine
Six cylinders, a shaft drive, hard luggage and an electric screen. Anything removed from behind the engine buys working room that is otherwise very hard to find.
Nothing Permanent
No holes are drilled, no lines are shortened and no connectors are cut. The motorcycle can be returned to standard at any point.
Type Approval
Evaporative control is part of the approval in the markets that require it, and removing it moves the motorcycle into competition use there.
Adaptive Headlights
The beam swivels with lean angle so a corner is lit before the bike reaches it. BMW was first to offer this on a motorcycle and it remains one of the very few electronic features that measurably changes what a rider can see at night.
