DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the updated Triumph Trident 800 (2026), JP PDQ TR001 E takes on the switch functions a quick throttle conversion removes from the bar, in bronze-anodised Ergal. The larger-engined Trident continues the connector layout of its mid-size Triumph relatives, which is the interface this block is built to.

A Bigger Trident, A Known Connector
The Trident 800 steps up from the 660 with a larger version of Triumph's triple, but it keeps the same bar switchgear connector used across the manufacturer's mid-size range, rather than introducing a new fitment on its own. A side-by-side comparison with the old switch makes the logic obvious at a glance.
Bronze on a Fresh Model Year
As one of the newest bikes in this range, the Trident 800 gives an anodised bronze switch block an early chance to stand out as a deliberate choice rather than an obvious aftermarket patch. That is also the reason the two colour options never need separate instructions.
Taking the Switch's Place
A quick throttle conversion removes the stock right-hand switch cluster from the Trident 800's bar. TR001 carries those same functions to a new position on the left, so nothing from the original layout goes missing. It holds whether the rider is doing the fitting themselves or handing it to a mechanic.
Continuity Across the Lineup
Because Triumph kept the switchgear connector consistent between the 660 and 800 versions of the Trident and their relatives, one part number continues to cover both without a redesign. The same applies across the model years this part number is listed against.
Titanium for a Cooler Build
The same block, anodised in titanium, suits a Trident 800 kept closer to a monochrome factory scheme. Bronze works better against a build with already warmer accents. A second look at the loom usually confirms it before the first bolt goes in.
