DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every Suzuki GSX-R1000R lives on a trailer between track days. A good number are ridden on public roads through the whole year, taken over mountain passes in October and parked outside cafés in the drizzle. AGPA106 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is the Accossato front pad for the GSX-R1000R from 2012 to 2026, and it suits the owner who keeps the superbike registered, rides it in all weather and wants a lever that answers the same way whether the tarmac is cold, warm or wet.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Suzuki GSX-R1000R, years 2012 to 2026
- Sintered compound, article AGPA106ST
- Grip stays high and even from cold to hot, according to Accossato
- Accossato highlights good bite on a wet surface
- A sensible choice for year-round and two-up riding
- Rear pad for the same bike: AGPP39
- Matching Accossato disc listed: DKS019
- No German approval documents on file; sold for track use
Construction and Material Quality
In Accossato's words, the Sintered compound holds a high and steady grip level at both low and high temperatures and keeps working when the road is wet. For a rider that translates into consistency: the first squeeze of the morning feels much like the tenth stop on a hot afternoon. The Italian maker also notes that its pads resist wear, keep heat within limits so fade stays small, and still deliver a strong stopping force.
An Autumn Pass on a Superbike
Picture the GSX-R1000R on a mountain road late in the season. Mist sits in the valleys, the hairpins are damp in the shade and dry in the sun, and the air is cold enough that nothing on the bike really warms up. This is where a pad that does not depend on heat pays off. The lever keeps the same travel from one bend to the next, and wet patches do not change how the front end slows. The same logic applies when a passenger climbs on or a tail bag is strapped to the seat: more weight on the front, same predictable feel. Before the first ride, bed the new pads in gradually on a quiet stretch so the surfaces settle against the disc.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA106 for the GSX-R 1000 R built between 2012 and 2026. The superbike carries two front calipers, and each box holds the pads for one of them, so a complete front change takes two boxes. At the back, Accossato offers AGPP39 for the GSX-R1000R, and DKS019 is the disc the company names for this model. If your riding moves towards the circuit, the same front pad also comes as EV1 street/track, EV2 racing and ZXC ceramic racing.
Road Approval
No ABE or other German test certificate is available to us for AGPA106ST, which is why we list these pads for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box containing two Sintered pads, enough for one front caliper of the GSX-R1000R.
