DescriptionThe whole story▼

On a heavy long-distance bike like the Kawasaki ZZR1400, the rear brake is in constant use: when manoeuvring in car parks, at walking pace in traffic and to steady the bike on slow corners. Accossato's AGPP143 rear pad covers the ZZR1400 from 2006 to 2019, including the ABS model, the SE of 2016 to 2018 and the Performance Sport of 2017 to 2019. This set uses the Organic mixture, which is gentle, quiet and kind to the disc.

Key Features

  • Rear pads AGPP143 for the Kawasaki ZZR1400, 2006 to 2019
  • Organic mixture, SKU AGPP143OR
  • According to Accossato, long service and low disc wear
  • Smooth pedal response at low speed
  • Quiet operation
  • Covers the ABS, SE and Performance Sport versions
  • Sintered (ST) is also made on this plate
  • No ABE on file with us; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says its Organic compound performs over a long time and limits disc wear. On the rear of a ZZR1400, which is used often but gently, that is exactly what owners look for. The company also names controlled heat against fade and dependable stopping power.

Low-Speed Control on a Big Bike

Moving a ZZR1400 at walking pace takes skill. Riders use a little throttle against a light touch of the rear brake to keep the bike stable in tight turns and queues. An Organic pad gives a soft, progressive response that makes this technique easier. It is also quiet, which is pleasant in town and when arriving at a hotel late in the evening.

Check the rear caliper and disc when you change the pads. Clean the caliper, lightly grease the slider pin and keep grease well away from the pad face and disc.

Service Intervals

On a high-mileage ZZR1400, rear pads can wear faster than expected, especially with a passenger. Include a quick look at the rear pads in every tyre pressure check.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPP143 is the rear pad Accossato names for every ZZR1400 variant in its list: the standard and ABS bikes of 2006 to 2019, the SE of 2016 to 2018 and the Performance Sport of 2017 to 2019. Up front, the model takes AGPA107, and DK235 is the matching disc. A single box equips the rear caliper.

Road Approval

AGPP143OR has no ABE or German approval certificate in our records. We offer it for competition use.
