DescriptionThe whole story▼
A 125 two-stroke enduro rewards a particular way of riding: keep the speed up, brake as little as possible and carry momentum into every turn, because winding a small engine back up to its power costs time. Riders of the TM Racing EN 125 two-stroke learn to brake late, briefly and firmly, then let the bike roll. Accossato's B8206 replaces the front brake lever of the EN 125 two-stroke from 2001 to 2019. It is machined in Italy from Ergal 7075 and hinged, so the blade has a chance to fold forward rather than break when the bike goes down.
Key Features
- Folding front brake lever for the TM Racing EN 125 two-stroke, 2001 to 2019
- Accossato lists two version groups: 2001–2009 and 2010–2019
- Fits the original front brake master cylinder
- Short blade for three fingers
- Anti-break hinge lets the blade tip forward instead of breaking
- CNC-milled from solid Ergal 7075 in Italy
- Blade in black, blue, gold or red on a dark base
- No German ABE documented; for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Like the bike it fits, the B8206 comes from Italy. Accossato mills it from a solid block of Ergal 7075, an aluminium alloy of high strength, aiming for a lever that is strong, light and reliable. The finished part has two components, a dark base on the master cylinder pivot and a blade in black, blue, gold or red, joined by the hinge that allows folding. As a brake lever it has the shorter of Accossato's two blade shapes, intended for three fingers, which leaves enough of the hand on the grip for a small bike that is thrown around a lot.
Carrying Speed on a 125
On a small two-stroke, every unnecessary touch of the brake is paid for on the way out of the corner. Riders of an EN 125 two-stroke therefore look further ahead, choose lines that keep the bike rolling and use the front brake in short, decisive squeezes rather than long drags. It is a precise style of riding, and it depends on the lever being exactly where the fingers expect it, turn after turn, through a long day of enduro.
The style has its price. Carrying speed means arriving at corners faster than the riders of bigger bikes around you, and when the front tyre washes out on a loose surface, the TM goes down at speed and slides. The brake lever, out at the right-hand end of the bar, is one of the most exposed parts in such a crash. Its hinge gives the B8206's blade the option of flipping forward instead of snapping at the tip. That is no guarantee, especially in a fast crash, but it gives a fair chance of finishing the loop with a full-length brake lever, even if it is one you try to use as little as possible.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two version groups of the TM Racing EN 125 two-stroke appear in Accossato's list for the B8206: the bikes of 2001 to 2009 and those of 2010 to 2019. On both, the lever takes the place of the stock item at the original front brake master cylinder. A folding clutch lever, the C7283, exists only for the later group, so owners of an earlier EN 125 two-stroke can fit Accossato on the right side only. Black, blue and red are offered for both levers, gold only for the brake and orange only for the clutch.
Road Approval
No German ABE has been documented for the B8206. The EN 125 two-stroke is usually registered as an enduro for road use, but with this lever fitted it is not approved on public roads. It is intended for off-road riding and competition.
