Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – TVS Apache RR310 (2018–2026) PM189S

Fitment lists cross brands more often than showrooms admit. PM189S is listed for the Apache RR310 and for two BMW models, because the machines are built around one intake housing on a jointly developed platform — the same reason a part bought for the German badge and a part bought for the Indian one are the same part. There is one asymmetry in the list, and it is only a date: the RR310 entry runs from 2018, the two BMWs from 2017.

One housing, three badges

For an owner the practical value of a shared code is availability. A part number carried by three model lines across two manufacturers stays in production and stays stocked, which is not always true of components for a single faired sportbike in the 300 class. It also means the fitment tab is the thing to read rather than the brand page: the row that names the Apache RR310 and its years is the row that applies, and the other two rows describe machines that share a box with yours and nothing more.

What the fairing does not change

The RR310 is the faired, sporting member of the group, and it is worth saying that this changes nothing about the filter's job. The element seals the airbox and screens what enters it; the bodywork around it does not alter the medium's rating. Nor does the element alter the engine: in an unmodified airbox the PM189S leaves a standard Apache RR310 exactly as strong as it was. The gain is a lower, steadier intake restriction over the service interval and a panel that is washed rather than bought again.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air, held against the clean face of the PM189S and worked outwards, is the routine service and covers most of the year. After a dusty season lukewarm water with a mild detergent releases the rest; rinse until the water runs off clear. Drying is done in moving air at room temperature and in no other way, since heat damages the weave invisibly. The panel goes back in dry, with nothing applied to it.
