Öhlins pressure-tests hoses because they carry the full gas charge. The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

How to Be Sure It Fits

00302-05 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. dimension a 44 mm, dimension b 120 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A hose-mounted reservoir lets the damper be fitted where a piggyback would not go. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00302-05

Category: Reservoirs

Dimension A: 44 mm

Dimension B: 120 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00302-05_a6f4dfcf-73d0-4ad1-a2de-b3ada338d06a.png?v=1788871589
