DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 019 keeps a 2012 to 2017 GSX-R 750 running once the sidestand and its switch have gone.
Key Features
- Suzuki GSX-R 750 (2012–2017)
- Bypasses the sidestand safety switch
- Suppresses the resulting dashboard fault
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
- No cutting and no splicing
- Fully reversible to standard
The Middle Capacity
Nobody else has built a 750 supersport for decades. Suzuki has kept it going because the combination of a 600's chassis and 150 horsepower is genuinely hard to beat.
Preparation Starts With the Stand
It comes off for weight, for ground clearance and because a scrutineer prefers it gone. The switch is mounted on the bracket and leaves at the same time.
Why the Bike Stops
An open circuit reads as a deployed stand. Select a gear and the engine cuts, which makes every subsequent check impossible until the loop is closed.
Closing It Correctly
The eliminator presents the state the ECU expects. Nothing is bridged and nothing is masked; the controller simply reads a valid answer.
The L2 to L7 Bikes
Six model years of a generation that raced successfully and sold in numbers. Used examples are among the cheapest routes into a serious track motorcycle.
A Hundred and Fifty Horsepower
From 750 cc in a 600-sized chassis. It is the reason the GSX-R 750 has never needed replacing and why it still has a devoted following.
Original Connector
Nothing spliced. The switch goes back with the stand and there is no evidence of the intervening period.
Fitted First
Nothing else on the list can be tested until the engine will run in gear. It unlocks the rest of the evening's work.
A Road Bike Keeps It
If the stand is still on the motorcycle, the interlock should be connected. The failure mode is embarrassing at best.
Two Hundred and Nine Kilograms
Wet, with the stand still on it. Every gram removed from a supersport bike matters less than the marketing suggests and riders keep removing them anyway, because the exercise has its own logic and the stand is the easiest gram of all.
