DescriptionThe whole story▼

The rear brake of a KTM 300 EXC takes a soaking every time the bike crosses water, and in a wet winter it may never fully dry. Accossato lists the AGPP80 rear pad for the 300 EXC Enduro from 2004 to 2008 and the 300 EXC TPI from 2018 to 2023; this listing is the Sintered compound. It is meant for enduro riders who ride through every season, who deal with rain, snowmelt and cold starts and who want a rear pedal that behaves the same way all day.

Key Features

  • Rear set AGPP80 for the KTM 300 EXC, 2004 to 2008 and 2018 to 2023
  • Sintered compound, article AGPP80ST
  • Accossato describes high, constant grip from cold to hot
  • Keeps working on a wet disc
  • Predictable pedal throughout long events
  • Alternatives: OR and STMX on the same plate
  • No German ABE with us; competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says the Sintered compound holds a high, constant friction level at both low and high temperatures and performs well in the wet. For a rear brake that alternates between icy water and long, hot descents, that stability is what the rider wants. The lining is mounted on the normal AGPP80 plate, so the rear caliper needs no changes.

All-Season Enduro

An enduro ride in February can include frozen ruts in the morning and slush by midday. The rear brake is used constantly, and it moves between very cold and quite hot within minutes. When a pad changes character with temperature or moisture, the rider has to adjust constantly. A compound that keeps its grip level steady lets the right foot work by feel, which helps on slippery climbs and descents where every small correction matters.

Clean and dry the rear caliper after wet rides, check the piston for corrosion, and change the brake fluid regularly on a bike that often goes through water.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPP80 is listed by Accossato for the rear of the EXC 300 Enduro from 2004 to 2008 and the EXC 300 TPI from 2018 to 2023. For 2009 to 2017 a different pad applies; AGPP210 is also listed for 2015 to 2023, so check which one your bike uses. Front pads AGPA29 and AGPA211 are also listed, along with discs DK017, DK018 and DK259.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or German approval for AGPP80ST, and it is offered for competition.
