DescriptionThe whole story▼
Heavy clay that clings to the wheels, deep sand whoops and waterlogged ruts: on those days a Yamaha YZ450F comes back to the van twice its weight in mud. For the 2008 to 2019 models, Accossato offers the AGPA110 front pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound, which it describes as its compound for off-road riders. It is intended for motocross racers who ride in the worst conditions and want a front brake designed for them.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Yamaha YZ450F, 2008 to 2019
- AGPA110 shape in the STMX compound, code AGPA110STMX
- Accossato's material for off-road riders
- Intended for mud, sand, dust and water
- Two pads per box for the front caliper
- OR and ST versions of the same pad also listed
- No German ABE on file; for competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato gives the STMX a clear role: it is the compound for off-road riders. On the AGPA110 for the YZ450F, it provides a front pad made to cope with contamination and abrasion, while sharing the aims of the whole range, which are long life, resistance to fade and strong stopping power. Two pads come in the box, the set for one caliper.
Motos in Heavy Mud
When a track turns to mud, the front brake of a 450 is working under the worst conditions. Water and clay soak the pads and disc, and the rider still needs to stop a heavy bike in a short distance before a tight turn. A compound developed for off-road use keeps its function in that environment. After the race, rinse the caliper well, let it dry and check that nothing is stuck between pad and disc.
Choosing Your Version
The ST version suits all-season racing on firmer tracks, and the OR is the smoother option for practice. For riders who regularly meet heavy mud and sand, the STMX is the specialist choice.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA110 for the front of the Yamaha YZ450F from 2008 to 2019. The 2020 to 2022 bikes use the AGPA288 at the front. The rear of the YZ450F takes the AGPP106 from 2003 to 2022, and the brand lists the DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269 discs for the model.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or approval paperwork for this pad in our files. It is supplied for competition and closed courses.
Scope of Delivery
Two STMX front pads in one box, one set for the YZ450F front caliper.
