DescriptionThe whole story▼
Its engine family has deep roots in Suzuki's supersport history, so it is no surprise that some GSR750 owners strip the lights and mirrors and head for naked-bike race classes at club level. AGPA95 in the EV2 racing mixture is the left-hand front pad Accossato offers for the Suzuki GSR750 from 2011 to 2016. It is a pad for competition only, meant for practice, qualifying and races where the lever is squeezed hard dozens of times per lap.
Key Features
- Pads for the left front caliper, Suzuki GSR750 2011 to 2016
- EV2 racing compound, SKU AGPA95EV2
- Named a top racing compound by Accossato
- Aimed at naked-bike club racing
- Right side needs AGPA94
- Rear set: AGPP88
- Accossato is based in Villastellone, near Turin
- No ABE in our files; race use
Construction and Material Quality
From its works in Villastellone, close to Turin, Accossato describes EV2 in four words: a top racing compound. There is no road claim attached, and none is intended. The firm's broader promises for its pads, namely modest wear, heat kept within limits to hold off fade and plenty of stopping force, still apply.
Converting a GSR750 for the Track
Turning a road-going GSR750 into a club racer usually starts with the obvious: lights and mirrors off, bodywork secured, fluids swapped to what the organiser allows, and a fresh look at the brakes. Stainless lines, new fluid and race pads are the typical package. With EV2 fitted on both front calipers, the first session is for bedding in and learning where the new braking points are. The upright riding position of a naked bike means the rider's body catches a lot of wind under hard deceleration, so a firm grip on the tank with the knees takes load off the arms and makes the lever easier to modulate.
Between races, measure pad thickness, look for cracks on the friction surface and keep the calipers free of rubber pick-up.
Fitment and Compatibility
Because the GSR750 has two front calipers with different pad shapes, this left-hand box AGPA95 has to be paired with AGPA94 on the right. Accossato lists the GSR 750 for model years 2011 to 2016, and AGPP88 for the rear caliper. Organic, Sintered, EV1 and ZXC complete the options on this plate.
Road Approval
AGPA95EV2 arrives without German approval paperwork or an ABE, as far as our records go. Racing is what it is sold for.
Scope of Delivery
