DescriptionThe whole story

A tourer's brakes are judged on the fifth hour, not the first. ZCOO covers the Moto Guzzi V100 MANDELLO S with the B007, a 85.0 by 51.0 mm face carried on 8.0 mm of total section. On the V100 MANDELLO S that shape comes in EX Race, the mixture ZCOO sells for road, trackday and club racing rather than for sprint distance alone.

Key Features

  • No proprietary tooling needed: the B007 drops into the Brembo caliper the V100 MANDELLO S already has
  • Backed by the ZCOO 2026 catalogue listing for the Moto Guzzi V100 MANDELLO S, 2023
  • Low noise and low rotor scoring, which on a V100 MANDELLO S means the discs outlast several sets of pads
  • The friction blocks are separated so the B007 material can expand into the gaps rather than against itself
  • Ceramic sintering keeps the coefficient of friction stable across the temperature swing a V100 MANDELLO S sees in a single descent
  • Front axle only: ZCOO lists no rear pad under the B007 reference

Construction and Material Quality

Look behind the friction face of the B007 and the engineering is all about stiffness. Nothing about the B007 is stamped: the plate is cut, the ceramic is sintered on, and the bond is made under pressure. That is why the B007 holds a consistent contact patch deep into its service life.

Performance and Feel

The initial bite of the B007 in EX Race is measured rather than sharp. The harder EXC Endurance mixture bit sooner and lasted longer, but asked considerably more of a V100 MANDELLO S disc than the B007 in EX Race does. On a machine that covers the distance the V100 MANDELLO S covers, service life is part of the argument too.

Fitment and Compatibility

Fitment covers the Moto Guzzi V100 MANDELLO S from 2023 to 2023 with the Brembo caliper. The same B007 shape covers 111 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 85.0 mm length and 51.0 mm height. Front axle exclusively - there is no rear B007.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
