A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart; if it fails the damping goes with it.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 15472-03

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. A hose-mounted reservoir lets the damper be fitted where a piggyback would not go.

Why the Original

Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 15472-03. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15472-03

Category: Reservoirs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15472-03_afe5ee92-6c7f-4549-bf4b-5550d617acee.png?v=1788878917
