Right Side, Different Geometry
The right-hand switch shares the master cylinder's clamp bolts, and the rear clamp completes the assembly from behind. Because the brake master cylinder sits differently from the clutch side, the right clamp is not a mirror image of the left one — it is a separate part with its own number.
Three Buttons
JetPrime make their clamps to suit specific housings. This one is cut for the three-button right switch; two-button and four-button versions exist under their own references. The count is what determines the seat length, so it has to match.
When You Need One
Either because the switch was supplied without a clamp, or because the original was damaged. On a bike that has been dropped, the clamp is very often the only part that needs replacing.
Sharing the Master Cylinder's Bolts
On the right-hand side the switch and the master cylinder compete for the same mounting, and JetPrime resolved that by making the switch replace the clamp entirely. This part completes that arrangement from behind. It is why the right-hand assembly is more involved than the left and why the components are not interchangeable between sides.
Three Buttons, Not Two or Four
Two-button clamps belong to race switches, four-button ones to fully equipped road units. The three-button variant sits between them and takes its own reference. Ordering by side alone will produce a part that does not seat correctly, so the count matters as much as the hand.
When a Clamp Outlives a Switch
It also happens the other way round. A switch damaged by water or a broken button can be replaced while the clamp stays on the bike, and a clamp cracked in a fall can be replaced while the switch carries on. Selling the two separately is what makes either repair possible without buying a whole assembly.
