DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing compound is meant for riders who spend weekends on circuits, and the AGPA177 front pad in this mixture, article AGPA177ZXC, is catalogued for the MV Agusta Stradale 800 from 2015 to 2016. It suits the rare Stradale that has been converted into a track bike, where the owner treats brake setup as part of the preparation and wants a pad designed for long days of competition riding.

Key Features

  • AGPA177ZXC: ZXC ceramic racing front pads
  • For the MV Agusta Stradale 800, 2015 and 2016
  • Ceramic compound that Accossato calls ideal for racing
  • Built for several sessions and a race in one weekend
  • Suits riders who track wear and lever feel
  • Plate also available as ST, EV1 and EV2
  • No German approval documents; for competition only

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes ZXC as a ceramic compound ideal for racing. It gives no recipe, and we do not invent one; the message is that this pad belongs on a circuit. Accossato's usual promises of slow wear, strong stopping and fade kept in check by limited heat build-up apply here too. The ceramic friction material is supplied on the AGPA177 backing plate that suits the standard front calipers of the Stradale 800.

A Weekend in the Paddock

On a race weekend the front pads work from the first practice session to the last lap of the final. Riders who get the most from them tend to check wear at set points, note how the lever feels on cold and warm tracks and decide in advance whether a set will last the race. A ceramic racing mixture suits that methodical approach.

Keep a second set ready, together with brake cleaner, a clean cloth and a tool to push the pistons back. Clean the pistons before retracting them and pump the lever until it is firm before the bike leaves the pit box.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA177 is Accossato's front pad for the MV Agusta Stradale 800 in model years 2015 and 2016. The rear uses AGPA42 for the same period; Accossato lists no disc for the Stradale. The bike has two front calipers, so two boxes cover the whole front axle.

Road Approval

AGPA177ZXC has no ABE or German approval mark on our side. We therefore sell it for racing and competition.

Scope of Delivery

Two ZXC ceramic pads in a single box, for one front caliper.
