DescriptionThe whole story▼

On a long tour, a Suzuki GSX-S1000GX will meet rain, cold mornings and steep descents with heavy luggage. The rear brake helps keep the loaded crossover steady. AGPP88 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is Accossato's rear pad for the GSX-S1000GX from 2024 to 2026, intended for travellers who ride in all conditions and want the rear brake to respond the same way whatever the weather.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX, 2024 to 2026
  • Sintered compound, SKU AGPP88ST
  • High, steady grip from cold to hot, says Accossato
  • Grips well in wet conditions
  • For loaded touring and long descents
  • Front pad AGPA106, disc DK251 listed
  • One box for the rear caliper
  • Competition use; no German approval on file

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes Sintered as keeping a high and constant grip at low and high temperatures and gripping well in the wet. For the rear brake of a touring crossover, that means a predictable pedal from a frosty start to a long, hot descent. Accossato also highlights durability, controlled heat with little fade, and strong stopping.

Descending with a Full Load

With cases, a top box and perhaps a passenger, a GSX-S1000GX is heavy on a long descent. Using the rear brake to control speed before hairpins takes some of the load off the front and keeps the chassis calm. If rain arrives halfway down, a rear pad that keeps its grip when wet avoids surprises. Before the trip, check the pad thickness, the disc surface and the brake fluid. Fit new pads early enough to bed them in on ordinary rides first. On the road, a glance at the rear pads during fuel stops is a good habit, especially after a day in the mountains. Should a pad wear unevenly on the GX, the caliper slide or piston may need cleaning, and that is worth sorting out at home rather than halfway through a trip.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPP88 is catalogued for the GSX-S 1000 GX, 2024 to 2026. The GX has a single rear caliper, so one box is a complete set. For the front, Accossato offers AGPA106, and DK251 is its disc. An Organic version of this rear pad is also available.

Road Approval

We cannot supply an ABE or German approval document for AGPP88ST, so it is offered for motorsport use.

Scope of Delivery

One box of two Sintered rear pads for the GX.
