DescriptionThe whole story▼
Sand tracks demand a particular technique and punish the wrong one quickly. On an FC 350 the drive has to keep coming, the weight has to stay back, and a rider who closes the throttle in a deep sand corner will usually find the front wheel digging in and the bike going down. Sand is soft, but a machine falling on a churned surface still lands on its controls. Accossato lists the AGS17 for the FC 350 from 2018 to 2021, a silver replacement clutch lever in the original shape.
Key Features
- Clutch lever in the original shape for the Husqvarna FC 350
- Accossato's list runs from 2018 to 2021
- Silver
- Left-hand lever, hydraulic clutch
- An original spare parts type, priced as a spare rather than as a tuning part
- According to Accossato, the way it is made leaves it more resistant after a fall
- A single lever
- No German ABE, no test mark; for racing and competition
Construction and Material Quality
What the AGS17 offers is continuity. Accossato lists it as an original spare parts type, so the lever takes the form Husqvarna used on the FC 350 and the rider's hand finds it unchanged after a repair. The range was created to keep the price of a broken control low, and the company states that the way these levers are manufactured leaves them more resistant to damage after a fall. The colour given for this application is silver. Accossato provides nothing else, and this description does not go beyond it.
After a Fall in Deep Sand
Sand gets everywhere, and the lever pivot is one of the places where it does real harm. Fine grains work in past the seal of grease, turn what is left into a paste and begin to wear the bore, so a lever that was smooth in the morning can feel gritty by the afternoon. After a sand meeting, take both levers off the FC 350 rather than simply hosing the bike down. Wash the pivot and the bore properly, dry them, look at the bore for wear that has made it oval, and put fresh grease on before the lever goes back. If the lever is bent at all, replace it: sand hides damage well, and a lever that has been loaded once will let go without warning the next time. Keep water away from the controls at pressure, since a strong jet drives sand further in rather than washing it out. Once the AGS17 is fitted with the free play the manual asks for, work the clutch by hand until it returns cleanly every time.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS17 for the FC 350 from 2018 to 2021, with the AGS14 covering 2014 to 2016 on the same model. Anyone with a 2017 bike will find no original-type clutch lever from Accossato listed for it. This lever is also catalogued with us for the FE 501, the FX 450 and the TX 125. The brake lever of the original type for a 2018 to 2021 FC 350 is the AGD14, while Accossato's tuning options on the clutch side are the CNC clutch levers C7283 and C7284.
Road Approval
Accossato supplies the AGS17 without approval papers, so we can point to no German ABE and no test mark, and the lever is listed as a competition part.
Scope of Delivery
