DescriptionThe whole story▼

Two siblings sharing a single YZ125 between alternating weekends means the bike gets set up, ridden hard, and handed back more often than one owner alone would manage, and whoever rides it second inherits whatever adjustment the first left behind. Accossato's RCY1 fits the YZ125 built from 2009 to 2018, a pair of rear axle blocks with their own adjusting screw that makes resetting chain tension between riders a quick, known process rather than a guess.

Key Features

  • Rear axle blocks for the Yamaha YZ125, 2009 to 2018
  • Accossato code RCY1, supplied as a pair, left and right
  • Each block carries its own adjusting screw for chain tension
  • Blue, black or silver
  • Same pair also listed for the Suzuki RM-Z 250, Suzuki RM-Z 450, Yamaha WR250F and Yamaha YZ250
  • Accossato's RTY1 covers the same bike without the adjusting screw
  • No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Each RCY1 block replaces the stock part at the swingarm end, with a built-in screw for setting chain tension from that single point. Blue, black and silver cover the available finishes, blue sitting closest to the YZ125's own factory colours. A block that no longer sits flush, or shows a visible crack, is worth replacing rather than left on the bike.

Handing the Same Bike Back and Forth

A bike that changes riders every other weekend rarely gets the same careful once-over each time, and small differences in how firmly each rider leaves the chain can add up over a season without either one noticing straight away. Having an adjusting screw on each block gives both riders, or a parent checking the bike before it goes out, a single known reference point for getting tension even on both sides rather than trusting whoever adjusted it last. It is a small thing that keeps a shared bike consistent regardless of who rode it the week before.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the YZ125, Accossato's own documentation puts the RCY1 against the 2009-to-2018 build range, and that same part turns up again under the Suzuki RM-Z 250 and RM-Z 450, as well as the Yamaha WR250F and YZ250, since all of them share the mounting dimensions this block needs. Whichever of those bikes it ends up on, matching the frame to the quoted years is worth the minute it takes. Those who favour the stock adjustment method instead can reach for the RTY1, which bolts into the identical spot.

Road Approval

Accossato lists no German ABE for the RCY1, so the blocks are intended for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
