DescriptionThe whole story▼

Owners of a Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC who ride briskly on tarmac, or who enjoy an occasional track day, may want a more positive rear brake than the everyday compounds provide. Accossato's AGPA92 rear pad in EV1 street/track form is designed for them. It is listed for the XC from 2019 to 2023 and gives a firmer bite that stays consistent through a lively ride, while remaining usable for normal road riding.

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes EV1 as a compound with excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use. On the rear of an XC ridden with enthusiasm, it gives a pedal that responds promptly and keeps working as the brake warms up.

A Brisk XC on Tarmac

The XC can be ridden surprisingly quickly on a good road, and riders who do so often make more use of the rear brake to keep the tall bike stable as they slow down. A firmer rear compound makes that input more noticeable and easier to control. EV1 gives that feel without the need for racing temperatures. It is also a good match for a relaxed track day, where many riders discover how much the rear brake can help on a bike with long suspension.

Getting the Rear Ready

An XC that also sees gravel collects fine dust behind the pads, and that dust makes pistons stick. Brush the caliper out and wipe each piston before easing it back. Measure the DK203 or original disc, whichever is fitted, and replace fluid that looks dark. Once both new pads are in place, stroke the pedal until it feels solid again. Then spend a few miles bedding the pads with repeated moderate applications before you ask for full effort from them.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's application data gives AGPA92 for the rear of the Scrambler 1200 XC over 2019 to 2023, together with the DK203 disc. There is no front pad named for the XC on this sheet. One box covers the rear caliper.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or German test document for AGPA92EV1. It is sold for competition use.
