What Homologated Means on an Insert

Not that the insert carries a certificate of its own — nothing that small does. It means this is the configuration in which the silencer was tested and approved. Take it out and the exhaust no longer matches the description on the paperwork.

If you are matching to a case you already own, measure the outlet across both axes before ordering. The rectangular family has three inserts and they do not interchange.
