Öhlins pressure-tests hoses because they carry the full gas charge. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00636-28 in this case. Öhlins states dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 555 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Hose length is specific to the installation and cannot be substituted freely. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00636-28

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 555 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00636-28_42272d6b-9a2f-4f8e-84cb-a02d1be693d8.png?v=1788869966
