DescriptionThe whole story▼
Constructed from ultra-rigid GFK (glass-fibre reinforced plastic) and engineered to the same specification as the 2025 factory works R1, the GYTR winglet set GYTR1WINGF00 delivers genuine MotoGP-derived aerodynamic downforce to your Yamaha YZF-R1 or R1M. Every curve and mounting point has been optimised by Yamaha's own GYTR race division for maximum aerodynamic effect at the fairing position — not as an afterthought, but as an integral part of the front-end aero package.
Key Features
- Two-piece set (left and right winglet) manufactured from ultra-stable GFK fibre for race-grade rigidity and low mass
- Identical construction to the aerodynamic package fitted to the 2025 Yamaha works R1 race machines — as seen in MotoGP and WSBK
- Optimised fairing-mounting position engineered to generate maximum downforce effect at high speeds
- Plug-and-play fitment with GYTR race fairing; compatible with OEM fairing with drilling required
- Supplied complete with a mounting kit including bolts and bracket — ready to install
- Official Yamaha GYTR racing product — part number GYTR1WINGF00
Aerodynamic Performance
At track speeds the GYTR winglets produce a measurable increase in front-end downforce, translating directly into improved stability under hard braking and more confidence through turn-in. The additional front-end load complements the R1's anti-wheelie system by increasing contact-patch pressure, helping the electronics maintain traction off corners with greater consistency.
Yamaha's recommended setup adjustment when fitting these winglets is +2 turns of front fork preload — a simple, precise change that brings the chassis geometry back into balance with the increased aero load and is worth noting before heading out on track.
Build Quality & Materials
GFK (glasfaserverstärkter Kunststoff) is the material of choice for race-division aero components where a precise balance of stiffness, impact resistance and weight is required. Unlike painted ABS panels, the GFK construction maintains its shape and aerodynamic profile under sustained high-speed loads and resists the micro-flexing that can degrade downforce consistency over a race distance. The surface finish is consistent with GYTR's race-specification standard and is ready for team livery or left as supplied.
Fitment & Compatibility
These winglets are designed exclusively for the RN65 chassis. They will not fit earlier R1 generations or MT-series models.

- Yamaha YZF-R1M RN65 (2020–2026)
With the GYTR race fairing (available separately in the Inter-Pace shop) fitment is plug-and-play. When fitting to the standard OEM fairing, drilling is required — plan accordingly before installation.
