DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every bike needs a new tail. A machine that already runs a race seat unit, or one being rebuilt after a front-end crash, needs the nose and the flanks and nothing else. This set is those seven parts: the upper cowl, both side panels, both wings and both brackets, without the belly pan and without the rear end.
Key Features
- Upper race fairing CK26210 with quarter-turn fasteners
- Left and right side panels, CK26231 and CK26232
- Both 3D-printed wings, 3DK26237 and 3DK26239
- Both stainless quick-release brackets, IN2601K and IN2602K
- Same laminate and cure as the complete kit — prepreg inner skins, autoclave cured, unlacquered
Who This Set Is For
Two situations account for most of these orders. The first is the crash rebuild: front-end damage rarely reaches the tail, and replacing the nose and flanks as a matched set is faster and cheaper than ordering four panels separately and hoping the batch matches. The second is the bike that is being converted in stages — front bodywork first, so the machine can run, with the tail following later once the budget or the calendar allows.
Plan the Lead Time
Carbonin build bodywork to order rather than holding it on a shelf, and production runs to weeks rather than days. Add the time a paint shop needs on top of that and a set ordered in February is not a set that races in March. The practical advice from anyone who has done this once is to order over the winter, and to keep the damaged panels until the replacements are physically in hand — a cracked flank that has been repaired badly still gets a bike through a test day, and a missing one does not.
What Is Missing and Why That Is Deliberate
The belly pan CK26221 is not part of this set. If the bike is going to be scrutineered, check the regulations for the series being entered: most circuit rules require a lower fairing capable of retaining engine oil, and this set does not include one. The rear end — seat unit, battery tray, support and tail wings — is likewise separate and can be added at any time. The complete kit covers both if the whole conversion is being done at once.
Fitment
For the 2026 Kawasaki ZX-10 R and ZX-10 RR with Gen 7 bodywork.
Road Approval
None. The cowl carries no headlight aperture, so a motorcycle fitted with this set is not usable on public roads.
