DescriptionThe whole story▼

Riding an MV Agusta Superveloce 800 outside high summer means dealing with cold mornings, wet corners and dirty roads. For owners who do that, Accossato offers the AGPA42 rear pad in the Sintered compound, article AGPA42ST, catalogued for the Superveloce 800 from 2014 to 2025. It is meant for riders who use the retro sports bike across the seasons and want a rear brake that grips evenly whatever the temperature and weather.

Key Features

  • Rear pad set AGPA42ST for the MV Agusta Superveloce 800
  • Accossato listing: 2014 to 2025
  • Sintered compound with high, constant grip at low and high temperatures
  • Accossato states good wet grip
  • For riding outside the summer season
  • Plate also sold as OR and ZXC
  • No German approval documents; for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, this Sintered compound keeps a high and constant grip level at low and high temperatures and grips well in the wet. At the rear of a sports bike, where the brake is often used to steady the chassis on uneven or slippery surfaces, that predictability lets the rider apply small inputs with confidence. The maker also claims slow wear and a limited rise in heat that holds off fade. The Sintered friction material is carried on the AGPA42 plate.

Autumn Rides on a Sports Bike

Autumn roads can be lovely and treacherous at the same time: low sun, damp patches under trees and leaves collecting on the apex. On a sports bike many riders use a little rear brake to settle the bike before turning in, keeping the front tyre free to steer. A rear pad that grips the same cold or warm, wet or dry, helps keep those inputs smooth.

After rides on dirty roads, rinse the rear caliper and let the disc dry. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, so have it checked at regular intervals.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA42 for the rear of the MV Agusta Superveloce 800 from 2014 to 2025, a wider span than the model's own production, so please compare the old pad with the new one before fitting. The front pad AGPA106 is catalogued for 2019 only, and there is no Accossato disc for the Superveloce. One box covers the single rear caliper.

Road Approval

AGPA42ST has no ABE or German approval mark in our hands and is therefore sold for racing and competition.

Scope of Delivery

Two Sintered pads for the rear caliper, in one box.
