DescriptionThe whole story▼
Ducati built the Multistrada 1200 Enduro for riders who leave the tarmac on purpose, giving it spoked wheels, longer suspension travel and a larger fuel tank than the road-going Multistrada. On loose ground, even skilled riders put a big adventure bike on its side sooner or later, usually at walking pace, on a slope or in a rut. The bike is lifted, the dust brushed off, and the ride goes on. Accossato lists the FP007 for this Enduro from 2016 to 2018: an aluminium cover for the clutch master cylinder reservoir.
Key Features
- Clutch master cylinder cover for the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro, 2016 to 2018
- Enduro Touring included on Accossato's list
- Designed for the original clutch master cylinder
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
- Six colours: black, silver, gold, red, orange, blue
- TS003 front reservoir cap also listed for this bike
- No German ABE on record; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The FP007 starts as aluminium, is machined on CNC equipment and is then anodised in black, silver, gold, red, orange or blue. Accossato shapes it for the original clutch master cylinders of the listed bikes, so on the Multistrada 1200 Enduro the reservoir stays standard and only its lid changes. Before closing the reservoir with the new cover, examine the seal beneath the old one. A dusty, well-used bike often has one that has hardened, and this is the moment to replace it.
After the Bike Has Been on Its Side
A slow fall rarely does much damage, but the left end of the handlebar is where a tipped-over Multistrada 1200 Enduro often lands, and the clutch master cylinder sits right there. Once the bike is upright again, take a minute before riding on. Look at the lever: is it bent, does it still move freely and spring back by itself? Look at the reservoir and its cover: is anything cracked, is there fluid on the outside? Pull the lever and feel whether the bite point is where it was. If the level has dropped or the lever feels spongy, ride carefully to the nearest place where it can be put right instead of pressing on into remote country. Back home, clean the area thoroughly before opening anything, since dust and grit must stay out of the fluid. If you fit the FP007 then, turn the bars until the reservoir is level, protect the tank and plastics from drips, rinse any spill off with water immediately and leave the reservoir open only briefly. Check the level against the marks, fasten the cover gently and operate the lever several times with the engine off before the next ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Multistrada 1200 Enduro and the Enduro Touring of 2016 to 2018 are named on Accossato's list for the FP007, which closes the reservoir of the original clutch master cylinder. At Inter-Pace the same part is also listed for the Multistrada 1260 Enduro, the Diavel and the Hypermotard 950. For the Enduro, Accossato additionally makes the TS003 front brake fluid reservoir cap, available in the same six colours and in green. Check your bike against the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or test documents for the FP007, which is why it is listed for track and competition use.
