How Inter-Pace works · ABE & instructions · The full guide

Your papers are in the box.

In Germany a part is only road-legal if you can prove it. So the ABE and the fitting instructions for your exact bike sit on the product page — before you buy, not after the TÜV says no.

No paper, no TÜV.

Why it matters

No paper, no TÜV.

A windscreen, a tail tidy, a set of bar-end mirrors — bolt them on and your bike is modified. In Germany that means someone, eventually, will want to see the paperwork: the ABE, the Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis, that says this part is approved for this vehicle. No ABE, no waved-through inspection. Riders know this. Most shops still ship the part and let you go hunting for the PDF.

The Downloads tab

Two documents, right where the part is.

On the parts that need them, the product page carries a Downloads tab with the ABE and the fitting instructions. Not a generic manual for the whole product family — the instructions matched to the part number you're actually looking at. Open it before you order, so you know what you're getting into and what the workshop will need.

How to use it

Three taps to a legal bike.

01

Find the part

Search or filter to the part for your bike — the Garage narrows everything to what fits.

02

Open Downloads

The tab sits with the product details. ABE and instructions, as PDFs, ready before checkout.

03

Keep them

Download once and file them with the bike's papers. When the inspection asks, you already have the answer.

What each document actually does.

Read the label

What each document actually does.

  • ABEThe type approval. Proves the part is approved for your vehicle — this is the one an inspector wants to see.
  • Fitting instructionsTorque figures, order of assembly, which bracket goes where. Matched to the part number, not the catalogue.
  • Part numberEvery listing carries its manufacturer part code, so what you download matches what arrives.
  • EintragungspflichtSome parts need entering in the papers, some don't. The ABE tells you which — read it before you fit.

The part is half the purchase. The paperwork is the other half.

So we ship both.

The verdict

Approved, documented, done.

ABE and bike-specific fitting instructions on the product page, matched to the exact part number — so the part you bolt on survives contact with the next inspection.
