The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15472-02

Where It Sits

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart; if it fails the damping goes with it. Hose length is specific to the installation and cannot be substituted freely. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely.

Original Öhlins Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 15472-02 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15472-02

Category: Reservoirs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15472-02_c5b0c00f-8765-4c8a-9e38-eb9f9c4b67ab.png?v=1788876458
