The JP ES 007 replaces the secondary air solenoid on the Diavel V4 with a sealed connector that keeps the instrument panel clear and the fault memory genuinely empty.

The Granturismo V4
Ducati moved the Diavel to the V4 in 2023, with spring valves and sixty thousand kilometre service intervals. It is a considerably more modern motorcycle.
Impedance, Not a Bridge
This unit answers with the value the controller expects. A wire looped across the pins answers with a different wrong value and produces its own code.
Not the Same as a Decat
Removing a catalytic converter is a separate change with separate consequences. They are frequently done together and they address different parts of the exhaust.
The Complete Path
Airbox, hose, reed assembly, cylinder head port and a monitored solenoid. A finished deletion accounts for all of them rather than the convenient ones.
The Cost of the Shortcut
A jumper wire produces a resistance the controller was not looking for, and the resulting code is harder to diagnose than the original absence.
Not Related to the Exhaust Valve
Several Ducatis also carry a servo-operated butterfly in the silencer, which is a separate system entirely. Confusing the two leads to ordering the wrong part.
The Sound Is Not a Fault
Riders frequently assume something is wrong, because an engine making unexpected noises is unsettling. Nothing is, and the emissions hardware has been producing it all along.
Reading the Fault Before Ordering
The stored code says which circuit the controller lost, not why. A solenoid that has failed electrically and a reed that has cracked mechanically produce different symptoms, and the second one shows itself in the airbox rather than on the panel. Anybody buying the electrical half alone should look inside the airbox first, because a sooted element means the housing needs attention too and the evening is better spent doing both.
The Connector's Locking Tab
Ducati's plugs latch and the latch does not always release where a gloved thumb expects it to. Levering at the wrong point breaks the tab, and a connector with a broken tab has to be replaced rather than persuaded. Looking at the plug before pulling on it is the whole of the technique.
