DescriptionThe whole story▼
Carbon outside, titanium at the end, stainless steel inside. Three materials in one silencer, each where it does the most good — and the result weighs 2.09 kg against a standard unit of 3.84.

Why the End Cap Is Titanium and Not Carbon
The end cap is the part of a silencer that gets hit — by gravel, by a boot, by the ground when a bike goes over. It is also where exhaust gas leaves at its hottest. Carbon handles neither as well as titanium does, so Akrapovic uses carbon for the large outer sleeve where the weight is and titanium for the small end cap where the abuse is.
The imprints on it are not decoration either: a pressed pattern stiffens a thin panel, so the cap can be lighter than a smooth one of the same strength.
A 755 That Was Never About Peak Power
Honda's CB750 Hornet makes 92 PS from 755 cc and weighs 190 kg — it is a middleweight naked bought for how it behaves rather than for a number. Akrapovic reports gains in the mid to high range, and the measurement puts them at 5,250 and 5,300 rpm, which on this engine is the middle of a back road.
The larger part of the case is 1.8 kg removed from the tail of a light motorcycle, where it changes how quickly the bike falls into a corner.
The Hornet Name, and Which One This Fits
Honda has used the Hornet badge on several unrelated motorcycles, and three of them are current: the CB750 Hornet with the 755 cc twin, the CB500 Hornet with the 471 cc twin, and the CB1000 Hornet with the four-cylinder engine from the Fireblade. They share a name and nothing else that matters here.
This silencer is for the CB750. For the CB500 Hornet the part is S-H5SO6-HRC, and for the CB1000 Hornet SP it is S-H10SO30-HILT. Check the capacity in your registration document rather than the badge on the side panel.
What Stays Standard
The header, the catalytic converter and the engine management are untouched, no remapping is required, and the removable noise insert is supplied so the sound can be kept close to standard or opened up with one bolt.
Fitment and Compatibility
S-H7SO5-HRC covers the Honda CB750 Hornet from model year 2023 through 2026. For the smaller CB500 family the corresponding part is S-H5SO6-HRC, which is a different silencer.
Road Approval
EC type approval and ECE type approval, with the certificates supplied and downloadable here. The silencer is a legal replacement part for road use in the European Union.
