DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Corsaro 1200 is the big naked bike of Moto Morini, a small Italian marque with its roots in Bologna, and it is powered by the company's own large V-twin. Accossato's LV008 is a folding clutch lever for it, listed from 2005 to 2018. It fits the original clutch master cylinder, it lets you set the distance between blade and grip, and its coloured blade hangs from a black base on a hinge, able to fold away when something strikes it.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Moto Morini Corsaro 1200, 2005 to 2018
- Mounts on the original clutch master cylinder
- Folding blade, hinged to a black base
- Distance to the grip adjustable
- Blade with RST lightening cut-out or NRST without
- Colours: black, blue, gold, green, orange, red, silver
- One standard length
- No German ABE documented, track use
Construction and Material Quality
Where the blade meets the base, the LV008 has a joint, and that joint is what makes it a folding lever. Both parts are CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised: the base in black, with the pivot bore and the reach adjuster, the blade in black, blue, gold, green, orange, red or silver. When you pull the lever, the two parts work together as one. When the blade is hit hard enough, the joint can let it fold. The blade comes with the RST lightening cut-out or without it.
Gloves Through the Seasons
A clutch lever that feels right in thin summer gloves can end up too close to the grip in winter gloves. Thick insulation and padding change how much room the fingers need and how much they feel, and on a big twin like the Corsaro 1200, where the clutch is pulled at every stop in town, that difference adds up over a ride. The reach adjuster of the LV008 lets you move the blade a little further out for the cold months and back in when the thinner gloves return. Make the change with the bike at a standstill and check that the clutch still disengages fully with the blade in its new position. The folding blade serves the same riders in another way: parked outside a café in any season, a Corsaro can be knocked over, and a hinged blade stands a better chance of surviving that.
Fitment and Compatibility
In Accossato's list, the LV008 covers the Corsaro 1200 from 2005 to 2018: the first Corsaro 1200 of 2005 and 2006, the Corsaro Carbon and the Corsaro Sport. Accossato also names a second folding clutch lever for this bike, the LV014, listed for 2007 to 2017. Because both appear for overlapping years, compare the photos with the original lever on your Corsaro before choosing. On the brake side, the LV012 and the remote-adjustable RA001 are listed for 2007 to 2017.
Road Approval
This clutch lever lacks a documented German ABE, which is why we sell it for circuit use.
