DescriptionThe whole story▼
Ask ten Bonneville T100 riders how many fingers they use on the front brake and you will hear both answers. Some keep two on the lever and two around the grip; others wrap the whole hand around the blade for every stop. The Accossato EDF014 can be set up for either style. It is a CNC-machined aluminium brake lever for the Triumph Bonneville T100, listed for 2006 to 2015 and again for 2021 to 2024, with an adjustable distance to the grip and three blade lengths.
Key Features
- Front brake lever for the Bonneville T100, listed for 2006 to 2015 and 2021 to 2024
- Mounts on the original master cylinder
- Short blade for two-finger braking, long blade for four
- Standard length approximately 138 mm
- Reach adjustable at the lever
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised, with a black hub
- Seven blade colours
- No German ABE documented, for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Each EDF014 is machined from aluminium and anodised, with a black hub and a coloured blade. The hub is where the lever pivots and where the reach adjuster sits; the blade is where your fingers do the work, and because its edges are machined rather than cast they are clean and even. The whole lever is one fixed piece without a folding joint. On a T100, whose paint and polished details invite a close look, a silver or black blade stays discreet, while gold or blue adds a deliberate accent.
Two Fingers or Four
Two-finger braking keeps the ring and little finger on the grip, which steadies the throttle and the bar while you slow down. It works well with a short blade, which ends early so the remaining fingers are never trapped between lever and grip at full pull; the short EDF014 comes in silver as well as blue, gold, green and orange. Four-finger braking gives the most force for the least effort and feels natural to many riders of classic bikes, particularly with a single front disc like the one on the earlier T100. For that style, the long blade offers the space and the leverage, and it is made in orange, green, blue and gold. The standard blade, about 138 mm and available in every colour, sits between the two and is the closest to the original lever. Whichever you choose, set the reach so that the fingers you brake with arrive at the blade with the wrist straight.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EDF014 is listed for the Bonneville T100 from 2006 to 2015 and then from 2021 to 2024. The model years 2016 to 2020 are not included, and during that gap the T100 moved from air to liquid cooling. If your bike falls in one of the listed periods, the lever replaces the stock blade on the original master cylinder. For the clutch of the earlier T100, Accossato lists two levers, the ESC777 (2005 to 2015) and the EST333 (2006 to 2015); for the later bikes no clutch lever appears on the list.
Road Approval
Since a German ABE is not documented for this lever, it is sold for track use.
