DescriptionThe whole story▼
CNC-machined from solid billet aluminium and finished in black anodising, this radial brake master cylinder carries a 19 mm piston sized for dual-disc front brakes and a PRS pivot distance adjustable between 17, 18 and 19 mm. It holds a German ABE, number 61454, making it street-legal when the ABE document is carried with the bike, and it ships as a complete kit with a smoke-grey oil reservoir and all the mounting hardware needed, so fitting it does not require sourcing a reservoir separately.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter, ideal for dual-disc braking systems
- PRS pivot distance adjustable between 17, 18 and 19 mm
- CNC-machined from solid billet aluminium, black anodised
- Folding lever with ergonomics designed to suit the motorcycle's original dimensions
- Smoke-grey oil reservoir kit included, with a black cylinder body
- Brake light switch included
- Front adjuster for lever-to-handlebar distance, for any hand size
- German ABE 61454, fully street-legal when carried with the bike
Construction and Material Quality
This master cylinder is machined from solid billet aluminium rather than a casting, then anodised black, and Accossato supplies it as a complete kit including a smoke-grey oil reservoir with a black cylinder body and all necessary mounting hardware for a quicker, easier installation. A front adjuster on the lever allows the distance to the handlebar to be set with a simple rotation, independent of the PRS pivot setting, to suit any hand size. Zinc-plated steel bolts and an off-set bracket clamp make up the remaining mounting hardware.
Why a 19 mm Piston Suits Dual-Disc Brakes, With an ABE
The 19 mm piston diameter on this master cylinder is Accossato's choice for double-disc braking systems, where two callipers draw more fluid than a single-disc front end, and the PRS pivot distance, adjustable between 17, 18 and 19 mm, lets the offset be set for relaxed road use or, with more hand force, for a shorter and more immediate stroke. Carrying the German ABE 61454 is what sets this unit apart from the track-only 19 mm versions elsewhere in Accossato's catalogue, since it allows the master cylinder to be used legally on public roads as long as the ABE documentation travels with the motorcycle.
Fitment and Compatibility
222 motorcycles are listed in our fitment data for this master cylinder, across Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, MV Agusta, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha, including the Ducati Panigale V4 (2018-2021), the Kawasaki ZX-10 R (2006-2020), the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (2005-2017), the Yamaha MT-09 (2022-2024) and the Honda CBR 1000 RR (2008-2019). The Fitment tab on this page carries the complete list with exact model years; check it against your own registration document before ordering. The same PRS 19x17-18-19 body is also available as a separate product with a nickel-plated finish.
Road Approval
This master cylinder carries a German ABE, number 61454, making it street-legal for use in Germany; the ABE document must be carried with the motorcycle.
