Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed units and are replaced rather than opened.

Original Öhlins Part

An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 21044-34 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Electronically controlled adjusters replace the needle with a solenoid but keep the same hydraulics. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21044-34

Category: Adjusters

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21044-34_3c790efb-7f5b-488f-8675-9ddda3c02f51.png?v=1788879415
