A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably.

Why the Original

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 21036-12 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins fits them where a threaded solution would add length. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21036-12

Category: Circlips

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21036-12_4968b613-9e67-436a-8796-ae3b7d04ba27.png?v=1788879388
